Cole House is one of the oldest houses of St. Thomas' College. With a history of great achievements in Sports and Academics, Cole house has lived up its motto "FEARLESS AND STRONG".
The logo of Cole house is a biblical figure ‘SAMSON’. According to the biblical account, Samson was given supernatural strength by God in order to combat his enemies and perform heroic feats, such as killing a lion by pulling his jaws apart. Cole house has always believed in pulling out victory from any difficult circumstances. Be it any competition, Coleites have always performed exceptionally well and have put in their best efforts. Mr. D.N. Bartarya being the housemaster for many years has helped the house achieve many laurels in various aspects of sport and extra and co-curricular activities.
We, Coleites believe that strength does not come from physical capacity alone, but it comes from an indomitable will. Fearlessness, we believe is the first requisite, for spirituality and cowards can never be moral.
The GREEN colour of our house signifies growth, harmony, freshness, fertility and hope. It is the most restful colour for human eyes, suggesting stability and endurance. It is also the traditional colour of peace.
Since the inception of the House System in St. Thomas College Cole house has produced many great athletes, not just at the school level but also at the National level, like Sashi Bangari, Divya Arora who played the National Basketball and Kanak Rawat who played Badminton at the National level, to name a few. Sashi Bangari was also Crowned Femina Miss India-Delhi 2014: 1st runner up, Neutrogena Femina Miss Healthy Skin, Femina Miss Ramp walk, Asian Super Model 2012 India winner and Aishwarya Goel Miss Beautiful Eyes in Femina Miss India-2014-2015.
In the yesteryears many a times, Cole house has won the most reputed overall shield, i.e. the COCK HOUSE trophy including the year 2014 - 2015. We have also been the proud winners of many quiz competitions, including the latest one. In dramatics, debates, dancing and singing also we have made a place for ourselves.
At present we have 307 boys and 210 girls in our house, and we are confident of producing many outstanding personalities under the able flagship of Mr. Vivek Kalra, present house master of Cole House.
