The appointment in the first instance is on a probationary period of one year, terminable by giving one month's notice on either side without assigning any reason or alternatively by giving one month's salary in lieu of the notice.
Staff will be called upon to the College after the school timings, in context with extra-curricular activities and other tasks as directed from time to time.
Staff will be required to furnish a Medical Fitness Certificate from a M.B.B.S. Doctor.
Further, staff will sign an agreement and then only staff appointment will be regularized.
Staff will open a Savings Bank Account with Punjab National Bank, Astley Hall, Dehradun and furnish staff Savings Bank Account No. to the Main Office of the Institution as the monthly salary of all the staff members is payable through the said Bank.

Education | Free education for staff own child / children i.e. exemption of tuition fee in St. Thomas' College. |
Employees' Provident Fund | 12% of Basic Pay and DA is deducted every month from the date of staff joining the service with the College and is credited into staff account. An equal amount of contribution is given to staff from the Management at the time of staff leaving the job provided staff service with the College covers two years unbroken period as per rules. Provident fund will commence from the date staff join the service as per rules. |
Gratuity Fund | Staff will be entitled to Gratuity after putting in five years satisfactory service with the College at the rate of one month's basic pay as per rules. |
Casual Leave | 14 days casual leave is admissible in a calendar year, but it is not to be claimed as a right. |
Winter/Summer Vacation Salary | Will be paid as per rules. |
Insurance | Group Insurance scheme for Rs. 1,32,000/- is provisioned. |
Pension | Admissible as per rules. |
