It was the blast from the past. The Pagal Gymkhana, an event which took place today, Saturday, 5th of November, 2016 as a part of the ongoing Centenary celebrations of St. Thomas’ College, Dehradun.
The guests for the event were the alumni, comprising of different batches of the yesteryears, who in honour of their alma-mater paid a visit to St. Thomas’ College, Dehradun.
The Principal, Mr. R.V. Gardner, extended a very warm welcome to all the alumni.
As the name suggests, it was a day filled with the madness of merriment and amusements. The Pagal Gymkhana commenced with various games organised on the Rangers College ground such as: Three Legged Race, Wheel Barrow Race, Musical Chair, Shuttle Relay and many more. The alumni looked thrilled and excited as they took an active participation in all the games and the events.
Many alumni confessed of re-living their past, as they were reminded of the zest of their sports day, when they were pupils of St. Thomas’ College, Dehradun.
The historic Rangers College ground was filled with fun and frolic and witnessed the enthusiasm of the alumni.
Later on, the function was followed by the lunch.
The alumni thanked the Principal and MLA, Mr. R.V. Gardner for remembering the alumni and for making them a part of the ongoing Centenary celebrations. They even thanked Mr. R.V. Gardner for bringing the bright smiles on their faces, as the event brought back the reminiscence of their good old school days.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by the Principal and MLA, Mr. R.V. Gardner, in which he thanked all the students of yesteryears for sparing their precious time and for travelling from far and near to be a part of The Pagal Gymkhana and making it a grand success, so to be remembered for the ages to come.
