INDIAN CERTIFICATE OF SECONDARY EDUCATION EXAMINATION

Introductory

  1. Registration for Class III will be accepted in NOVEMBER. Registration forms will be available from the school office.
  2. All admissions will be based strictly on the merit of the candidate.
  3. Parents of new students seeking admission must produce a Municipal/ Hospital/ Cantonment Board Birth Certificate or a Baptism Certificate.
  4. Students joining Class III or above cannot be admitted unless his previous recognized school’s Transfer Certificate is produced. The T.C. should be countersigned by the Secretary, Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi/The Inspector of Schools in the State where the School is situated, if the state is other than Uttarakhand.
  5. Students taken admission in class III to class IX will appear in INDIAN CERTIFICATE OF SECONDARY EDUCATION EXAMINATION
  6. The I.C.S.E. Examination has been designed to provide an examination in the course of general education, in accordance with the recommendations of the Kothari Commission, through the medium of English.
  7. The I.C.S.E. will ensure a general education without any diversification of studies as all candidates are required to enter and sit for all the subjects. This Examination is equivalent to the High School or Matriculation.
  8. The Principal and Management reserves the right to admit or refuse parents seeking admission for their wards to the school.

Admission in Class XI

  1. Those students joining St. Thomas' in Class XI must join at the commence-ment of the College Academic Year and not await their I.C.S.E. (Year 10) final results. These students will be granted Provisional Admission on the basis of Preliminary Exams and will be confirmed after achieving the required percentage laid down by the College in the I.C.S.E. (Year 10) Council Examination.
  2. Parents/guardians will be required to complete the declaration form and when the results are declared, failures among these students will not be permitted to continue their studies in Class XI. All money by way of admission fees, and College fees deposited will not be refunded in such cases.
  3. The Caution Money deposited, however, will be made available on leaving. (N.B.: Students of St. Thomas' College who fail in the I.C.S.E. Examination will have to leave the College and those who pass will have to deposit a copy of their results within three days from the declaration of the results, failing which they will not be permitted to attend classes.)
