The Centenary Marathon was flagged off on Saturday, 15th October, 2016 by the Principal, Mr. R.V. Gardner, MLA at 5:30 am from the Rangers College Ground. A number of children participated and the enthusiasm among them was clearly palpable as they ran 3.5 km for girls and 5.5 km for boys in the early morning sunrise. The runners had to cross various checkpoints monitored by the Gent staff members and each student had to collect a token which were then checked at the finish point. Water was provided at the checkpoints as well as a police escort and a medical team with an ambulance accompanied the runners. The dedication and determination of the students and the encouragement from the Principal, Mr. Gardner and teachers made the event successful and enjoyable.
