As a part of the ongoing Centenary Celebration, the last event of the year was the farewell to class 12th on 20 December,2016. The event was witnessed by the guests, staff & the students of class 11th along with the outgoing class.
The event began with the class 12th introductory dance, in which Ayushi and Nikhil were the winners. The second dance was the statue dance which was won by Subhrant and Preeti.
Next was the much-awaited event of the day “Miss ISC & Mr ISC 2016” in which it was very difficult for the judges to choose the winners as all the girls and boys in their sarees and suits were looking very beautiful and handsome. Eventually the decision was made and Niharika Khanduja was adjudged the Miss ISC 2016 with Surbhi Thapa as the 1st runner up and Saumya Budakoti as the 2nd runners up. In the boys category Manmeet Singh Kohli was choosen as the Mr ISC 2016 and he is the first Sikh boy in the history of St. Thomas College who won this title. Mayank Suyal was adjudged the 1st runner up and Pranav Dhasmana the 2nd runners up.
Next was the two dances put up by the Senior and the Junior students for the outgoing class which was very well choreographed and was much appreciated by all.
Next was the announcement of the Pride of STC 2016 which was given to Pranav Dhasman and Vallabhi Sawan. Which was followed by the distribution of prizes to the children who got 100% attendance. The distribution of gifts to the class teachers of the outgoing class, the principal Mr R V Gardner, Mr A Singh, Mr. Aavishkar Kathel, Mrsa. Monika Gupta, Mrs. Shravani Pandey and Ms. J. Dobhal were given by Mr. A Raturi the senior supervisor. In-between the photograph of the outgoing class with the principal was taken and everyone went for a lunch.
Post lunch was the cake cutting ceremony by the two college captains were performed along with the speeches by the outgoing boy and girl college captains which was responded by the students of class 11th.
In the end, our principal Mr. R V Gardner, who conducted the programme and with whose help, guidance and charismatic personality this event was successful conducted.
